I created a positive reading using forms found in reading tea leaves and translated them into hexadecimal, a numerical system as used by computers. Hexadecimal has a base of 16 which for me makes it mysterious both to read and in its use equating it to process and action. In this work I also reference numerology via the hexadecimal, (purported divine, mystical or other special relationship between a count or measurement and life). I positioned the now doubly encoded reading in the shadow of a cup of tea, the underlying message available to those with the skill to decode, whilst in the bottom of the tray frame the prophesy manifests in actual tea leaves.

Note: Hexadecimal is a number system having a base 16; the symbols for the numbers 0–9 are the same as those used in the decimal system, and the numbers 10–15 are usually represented by the letters A–F. The system is used as a convenient way of representing the internal binary code of a computer
